This summer I've been working in the golf shop at Newcastle Golf Club, which comes with some perks like mini golf and good practice up at the range. The whole family went to do putt putt this last week and it was so much fun! As we finished up, got to watch the sunset over Seattle which was super pretty. A couple days later a bunch of us went to the driving range to do some practice. Ummm yeah it's harder than it looks. After whiffing the ball like 6 times, I finally got the hang of it somewhat (enough that I could hit the ball farther than like 5 feet ahead of me). I for sure need to practice some more this summer! I'm only working at the course for a couple more weeks so we will definitely be taking advantage of my discount and all that while I still have it!

the last little bit
We've been having lots of fun over here the last week or so! About a week ago Tanner and I went on a cute little Seattle date. First, we went on a picnic to Alki beach and ate some delicious food and then we headed over to Safeco for the Mariners/Angels game! It was such a fun night, and the mariners beat the angels!
Also, a couple nights ago we all got to go to see Jim Gaffigan at the Paramount. My friend, Morgan, got me a ticket and then my whole fam decided to come along. We stopped at Earl's in Bellevue for dinner - which was so good, highly recommend the pulled pork. Then we went in to Seattle for the show. It was H I L A R I O U S. I literally thought I might throw up from laughing so hard, check him out on netflix or youtube because you really will die laughing.

rio video
Back in February, my whole family got to go to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for a whole week. It was I N C R E D I B L E! We stayed in a cute beach house in Buzios and had so much fun going to beautiful beaches, exploring the city - it was great. It was one the best weeks and the best vacations we've ever had and we had such a fun time. This week, my sister Briana made a video of our vacation with a bunch of clips from the week, here it is!

4th of july and an open house
This past weekend Tanner and I (and the rest of my family) all went to DC for our wedding open house! We took a red eye to get there and the whole weekend was very busy from the second we arrived. On the fourth, we went to a church pancake breakfast, went swimming at the pool, then headed downtown to see the fireworks on the national mall. They were incredible! There were lots of people there but it was totally worth it. It was fun to hang out with my family there, here are some pictures from that night:
We stayed in DC that night and the next day did a little exploring. We went to the Holocaust museum, which was very touching. It was extremely sad and definitely brought on lots of tears but I loved learning about it and thought it was a great experience. We went back to Tanner's fam's that night for a BBQ. The next day was the open house! It was at this cute little brick building and they did such a great job of capturing our style from the first reception! I loved meeting all the people that love Tanner and played such a big part of his life growing up. It was a great night and I'm so thankful to his family for planning it all!
