4th of july and an open house

This past weekend Tanner and I (and the rest of my family) all went to DC for our wedding open house! We took a red eye to get there and the whole weekend was very busy from the second we arrived. On the fourth, we went to a church pancake breakfast, went swimming at the pool, then headed downtown to see the fireworks on the national mall. They were incredible! There were lots of people there but it was totally worth it. It was fun to hang out with my family there, here are some pictures from that night:

We stayed in DC that night and the next day did a little exploring. We went to the Holocaust museum, which was very touching. It was extremely sad and definitely brought on lots of tears but I loved learning about it and thought it was a great experience. We went back to Tanner's fam's that night for a BBQ. The next day was the open house! It was at this cute little brick building and they did such a great job of capturing our style from the first reception! I loved meeting all the people that love Tanner and played such a big part of his life growing up. It was a great night and I'm so thankful to his family for planning it all!
